"Stadium Built By Fans"
Hooligans of several clubs in the world shows the passion for the club in many ways, but none have shown so much love like a stadium built by real fans. It is the clearest example of union to support the club they love.
So, the soccer club Cerro Porteño teamed up with TBWA\ to create a social innovation hiring 40 hooligans to work as bricklayers in the construction of the stadium for more than 18 months, working over 45 hours a week, giving them a trade in construction.
The lack of knowledge in construction united the group from the beginning to prove they could be good as regular bricklayers. “Who would have thought that I could build my own stadium?” said Rodrigo Millán, a hooligan worker. “They have something other workers don't: passion and love for the team,” said the architect of the stadium Alfredo Angulo.
